Eligibility Criteria for Application to Bishop, Apostle, or Prophet(ess) Positions with CCOEB

Essential Qualifications:

• Commitment to the Organization: Candidates must demonstrate unwavering loyalty and dedication to CCOEB’s mission and values.

• Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least thirty years old, although exceptions may be considered for those whose talents have matured exceptionally early.

• Legal Standing: A clean criminal record is mandatory for all applicants.

• Moral and Ethical Integrity: Applicants are expected to embody the virtues and character traits outlined in the College’s handbook.

• Experience in Leadership: Prospective candidates should not be novices in Christian teachings or ministry but should have significant leadership experience within the church.

• Residency: Candidates must live within the diocese or the specific geographic area they intend to oversee.

• Technology Proficiency: It is vital for applicants to have internet access for effective communication, particularly for meetings with the Metropolitan.

• Language Skills: Fluency in English, Spanish, or French is required for effective communication.

• International Travel: Candidates must be capable of international travel to participate in meetings with the College of Bishops, Apostles, and Prophets.

• Financial Independence: Applicants should possess the financial capability to support themselves.

• Dress Code: Adherence to the official dress code for all CCOEBAP conferences is a must.

• Ministry Experience: A minimum of 10 years of ministry experience is required.

• Evangelism: Applicants must present a strategy for diocesan outreach and evangelism.

• Fiduciary Responsibility: Ideal candidates will have been recognized for their ability to safeguard and shepherd the Lord’s flock effectively.

Designated Offices within CCOEB:

• Patriarch: Heads ancient, autocephalous, or sui iuris churches, overseeing multiple metropolitan sees or provinces.

• Primate: Typically the bishop of a nation’s oldest church, sometimes with jurisdiction over metropolitans or as an honorary title.

• Presiding Bishop or President Bishop: The leader of a national Anglican church, not necessarily linked to a specific episcopal see.

• Metropolitan Bishop: An archbishop overseeing an ecclesiastical province, including direct jurisdiction over his archdiocese and oversight over other dioceses within the province. 

• Archbishop: The bishop of a notable archdiocese with significant historical importance to the local church.

• Suffragan Bishop: A bishop assisting and subordinate to a Metropolitan.
